Business Development Stage 10: Profitability

Stage 10 of small business development is the natural result of having effectively completed steps 1-9.  You will find your business working well and bringing in profit.

Do not hesitate to revisit the information in Stage 6: Operations if you have budgeting concerns.  In fact, an element of success is remaining open to continual analysis (and is the essence of proper management).

If you do not see an increasing profit margin your pricing strategy may not by accurate or the market may have shifted during the planning stage.  It is ok to look back; labor costs and cost of goods, for example, can change.
